Original Research Papers
Deadline: July 31, 2014
Call for scientists and professionals working in the fields of bioinformatics and computational biology to submit high quality original research papers for presentation at ISCB-LA 2014 is to be held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, at the Federal University of Minas Gerais on October 28 - 30, 2014.
Original Research Papers: Submission Guidelines
Papers submitted for review should represent original, previously unpublished work. At the time the paper is submitted, and for the entire period, the paper should not be under review by any other conference or scientific journal.
There are two possible ways of submiting your papers.
1 – BMC Genomics (IF 4.40) paper track, run by AB3C. Author guidelines can be found here (BMC Genomics guidelines). Papers will be assigned to the Program Committee Chairs and three reviews sought. Chair Marcelo Brandão (UNICAMP).
2 – Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics by Springer Verlag and BMC Bioinformatics (I.F 3.02) paper track, run by BSB. Author guidelines for the Lecture Notes series can be found below. Author guidelines for BMC Bioinformatics can be found here (BMC Bioinformatics guidelines). Papers should be submitted first to the Lecture Notes series and selected papers will be submitted for a full publication in BMC Bioinformatics. Chair Sergio Campos (UFMG).
Presenters must register and pay to attend and present at the conference.
PAPERS NOT CONFORMING TO THESE GUIDELINES WILL BE RETURNED WITHOUT REVIEW.
Papers will be accepted electronically, in the submission system no later than July 31st.
Submission Topics:
Bioinformatics of Disease and Treatment

**Original Research Submission Form**
Lecture Notes Instructions for authors
The submissions should contain original, high quality, not submitted or published elsewhere work. ALL manuscripts MUST be written in ENGLISH and include an abstract.
The format to be used is "Lecture Notes in Computer Science" (LNCS). All the explanations and necessary files for this format (in Latex or Word) can be found at Instructions for Authors. We strongly recommend all prospective authors to download the necessary files from this site as they prepare their submissions for the 2014 edition; old versions of the LNCS style files could cause problems in the upload of the camera-ready paper.
ISCB-LA/X-meting/BSB will accept papers up to 8 pages in length.
Manuscripts that deviate significantly from these guidelines may risk rejection without consideration of scientific merit.
Manuscript Submission
Submission will be electronic through the meeting submission system.
All submitted papers will be reviewed by at least two experts in the field.
Submission Policy
By submitting a full paper to LNLC 2014, the authors agree that in case of acceptance at least one author registers to the conference and presents the paper. Furthermore, it is the conference policy that at least one of the authors of accepted full paper needs to be registered for the meeting.
Publication
All accepted *full papers* will be included in the proceedings that, as in the past BSB editions, should be published by the Springer Verlag in the series Lecture Notes in Computer Science/Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics (LNCS/LNBI).
Selected papers will be invited for publication in BMC Bioinformatics
