Swedish Value Added Tax
The Swedish Value Added Tax (VAT) is 25% and is added to all delegate fees for meetings taking place in Sweden and must be paid when registering for a meeting. This includes all delegates irrespective of their home country.
The VAT can be recovered by companies from the Swedish “Skatteverket”. Individual delegates cannot recover the VAT.
If you need more detailed information on how to recover the Swedish VAT, please consult a qualified VAT professional or the Swedish Tax Agency (www.skatteverket.se).
ISCB MEMBERSHIP ( ISCB Membership Fee Chart available here)
ISCB MEMBERS: If you are a current member of ISCB, you must use the email address you registered with ISCB in order to register at the discounted member rates through the online system. If you do not know the email address you used to register with ISCB, please send email to admin@iscb.org before proceeding with conference registration.
NON-MEMBERS OF ISCB: Non-members will be able to join ISCB through the on-line conference registration system and immediately receive member rates for ISMB/ECCB 2009. You can either join when you register for the conference or you can join directly with ISCB here: http://www.iscb.org/membership.shtml
ISCB MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL: If your ISCB membership is not current or will expire on or before July 2, 2009, you will be offered an opportunity to renew your membership as part of your registration fees through the online system.

topSTUDENT COUNCIL SYMPOSIUM (SCS5)
Saturday, June 27
The 5th ISCB Student Council Symposium is a student-organized event featuring keynote lectures, oral presentations and a poster session. In addition to previous years, a career event will be organized with a variety of distinguished speakers from industry and academia. The Symposium is tailored mainly to undergraduate and graduate students as well as post-docs in computational biology and related disciplines.
The Student Council Symposium is a forum for students and young researchers in the fields of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. Participants will have the opportunity to present their work to an international audience, build a network within the computational biology community and develop important soft skills in an environment that fosters exchange of ideas and knowledge.
FEES
The Student registration fee to attend is €75,00 (includes €15,00 VAT) and includes morning and afternoon coffee break and lunch.
Note: Student Council Symposium registrants are not required to register as delegates for the ISMB/ECCB 2009 conference to attend SCS5.
SATELLITE MEETING
Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 (Satellite Meeting Website)
ISMB/ECCB 2009 will host a two-day Satellite Meeting prior to the conference.
Note: Registrants are not required to register as delegates for the ISMB/ECCB 2009 conference to attend a Satellite Meeting.
You may select "Satellite only" to register just for the 3Dsig Satellite Meeting. Satellite Meeting registration does not allow access to the SIG Meetings. Delegates wishing to attend portions of the Satellite Meeting and portions of one or more SIGs must register for both events.
The registration fee for the Satellite Meeting includes the 3Dsig Evening Session and Dinner. Daily lunches for the 3Dsig Satellite Meeting are included. Each Satellite Meeting participant will receive a
meeting notes booklet. The Satellite Meeting will take place at the Stockholmsmässan (Stockholm International Fairs).

On Saturday, June 27, 3DSig will host an evening dinner including a panel discussion and keynote speaker, both on a central topic to Structural Bioinformatics and Computational Biophysics. This session is included in the 3Dsig Satellite registration. Other SIG delegates wanting to attend this 3Dsig session can do so for an additional registration price of €75,00 (includes €15,00 VAT). Additional evening sessions tickets are available for purchase when registering online.
The panel discussion will include audience participation, informal round-table discussions and interactions over dinner. Registering for a SIG allows you to move freely between all SIGs that take place at the same time as the meeting for which you are registered, to the extent that the room capacities can accommodate. SIG registration does not allow access to the Satellite Meeting.
Each SIG participant will receive a booklet that includes handouts from all SIGs and daily lunches are included.
Please register for the SIG in which you are most interested so that we can assign SIGs to larger and smaller rooms as appropriate. All SIG meetings will be held at the Stockholm International Fairs.
NOTE: One-Day SIG registrants are able to participate in SIG meetings only on the day for which they have registered unless registering for two one-day SIG meetings.

Sunday, June 28
Individuals will be able to register for one or two 1/2 day optional tutorials. There will be five (5) concurrent sessions in the morning and five (5) concurrent sessions in the afternoon. Fee includes one hard-copy tutorial notes of tutorial presentations you are registered for and one CD which includes notes from all tutorials. Lunch is included in registration fee for delegates registering for two tutorials.
*Delegates attending one tutorial only have the option to purchase a lunch ticket during online registration for €25,00 (includes €5,00 VAT).

Conference Proceedings:
Printed conference proceedings are available only by pre-purchase up until May 15, 2009. If you do not order printed proceedings it is recommended that you bring a laptop computer with you to the conference as the conference proceedings will only be distributed via CD. Conference proceedings will be available as an open access, online-only issue of Bioinformatics.
Wireless internet services will be available throughout the conference facility, and a limited number of computer stations will be available for online viewing.
topParticipants should make their own arrangements with respect to entering Sweden. Some participants may require a Schengen visa to enter Sweden.
A visa is a permit which may be required by foreigners to enter and remain in Sweden, and the other Schengen states, for a short period of time, e.g. to attend a scientific conference.

All refunds will be processed and mailed following the ISMB/ECCB 2009 Conference. Refunds will be made in accordance with the following schedule.
· Cancellations received on or before April 27, 2009, will receive a full refund minus a €125,00 processing fee (includes 25,00 VAT).
· Cancellations received from April 28, 2009 through May 27, 2009 will receive a full refund minus a €250,00 processing fee (includes 50,00 VAT).
· No refund of fees will be made after May 28, 2009.
